World Book Day Celebration 2025

On behalf of the Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital Library Department, Madagadipet, World Book Day Celebration was celebrated on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.

The function was presided over by Takshashila University Chancellor and Sri Manakula Vinayagar Educational Trust Chairman Mr. M. Dhanasekaran, Secretary Mr. Dr. K. Narayanasamy, and Treasurer Mr. D. Rajarajan.

At the ceremony, prizes were given to the undergraduate and postgraduate medical students who had used the library the most during the last academic year. At the ceremony, Director Dr. R.N. Kagne presented the prizes and spoke in appreciation of the students. Dr. K. Karthikeyan (Dean – Academic), Dr. P. Sanjay (Dean – Research), Medical Superintendent Dr. M. Prakash, and K. Soundarya (Deputy Dean – Academic UG) participated and delivered keynote speeches.

As part of the event, a webinar was held on the topic “Impact of Books and Journals in Society.” Mr. Pritesh Sheth (CEO, Scientific Scholar, Publisher, USA) participated in the event and interacted with the students.

The function was attended by library committee members, professors and students. The event was organized by the librarian Mr. N.Elangovan and the library staff on behalf of the college library department.

மதகடிப்பட்டு ஸ்ரீமணக்குள விநாயகர் மருத்துவக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் மருத்துவமனை நூலகத்துறை சார்பில், உலக புத்தக தின விழா செவ்வாய் கிழமை, ஏப்ரல் 23, 2024,அன்று கொண்டாடப்பட்டது.

விழாவுக்கு ஸ்ரீமணக்குள விநாயகர் கல்வி அறக்கட்டளைத் தலைவர் திரு M.தனசேகரன், செயலாளர் திரு டாக்டர்.K.நாராயணசாமி, பொருளாளர் திரு.D.ராஜராஜன் ஆகியோர் தலைமை வகித்தனர். விழாவில் கடந்த கல்வி ஆண்டில் நூலகத்தை அதிக நேரம் பயன்படுத்திய இளநிலை மற்றும் முதுநிலை மருத்துவ மாணவர்களுக்கு பரிசுகள் வழங்கப்பட்டது.

விழாவில் டீன் டாக்டர்.R.N.காக்னே பரிசுகளை வழங்கி மாணவர்களைப் பாராட்டிப் பேசினார். டாக்டர். K.கார்த்திகேயன் (டீன் -கல்வி), டாக்டர்.P.சஞ்சய் (டீன் -ஆராய்ச்சி), மருத்துவக் கண்காணிப்பாளர் டாக்டர் .M.பிரகாஷ், துணை மருத்துவக் கண்காணிப்பாளர்டாக்டர் S.கிரிஜா ஆகியோர் கலந்து கொண்டு சிறப்புரையாற்றினர். விழாவில், நூலக குழு உறுப்பினர்கள், பேராசிரியர்கள் மற்றும் மாணவர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.நிகழ்ச்சி ஏற்பாட்டை கல்லூரி நூலகத் துறை சார்பில் நூலகர் திரு. இளங்கோவன் மற்றும் நூலக ஊழியர்கள் செய்திருந்தனர்.

The World Book Day was celebrated on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 by the Department of Library, Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital, at Mathagadipet.

The function was presided over by Sri Manakula Vinayaka Education Trust Chairman Mr.M.Dhanasekaran, Secretary Dr. K.Narayanasamy and Treasurer Mr. D.Rajarajan. In the ceremony, prizes were awarded to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students who used the library the most during the previous academic year.

The Deputy Director Dr. R.N.Kagne gave prizes and congratulated the students. Dr. K.Karthikeyan (Dean – Academic), Dr. P.Sanjay (Dean – Research), Medical Superintendent Dr. M.Pragash, Deputy MedicalSuperintendent Dr. S.Girija were present and delivered keynote speeches. Library committee members, professors and students participated in the function.

The event was organized by librarian Mr.N.Elangovan and library staff on behalf of the college library department.

  • World Book Day was celebrated in Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College & Hospital on behalf of Department of Library on April 20, 2023. As a part of celebration a quiz competition for medical college students was conducted.

  • The program was conducted under the guidance of our respected Mr.M.Dhanasekaran, Chairman and Managing Director, Mr.S.Sugumaran,Vice Chairman, Dr.K.Narayanaswamy, Secretary and Mr. Rajarajan, Treasurer.

  • World Book Day was celebrated in Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College & Hospital on behalf of Department of Library on April 20, 2023. As a part of celebration Prize and certificates distribution for Quiz winners and runners by Chief Guest on 25th April 2023.
  • The program was conducted under the guidance of our respected Mr.M.Dhanasekaran, Chairman and Managing Director, Mr.S.Sugumaran,Vice Chairman, Dr.K.Narayanaswamy, Secretary and Mr. Rajarajan, Treasurer.
  • N.Elangovan, Librarian gave a welcome address. Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital Director Dr.D. Rajagovindan, Dean Dr. R.N.Gagne and Dean Academic Dr.K. Karthikeyan delivered the keynote address.
  • Special guest Dr.M.Vijayakumar, University Librarian of Puducherry University delivered a keynote speech on “Role of Library in Students Development” and distributed prizes and certificates to the participated students.
  • Professors and students participated in the program. Mr. S.Lakshmi Gandhan delivered the vote of thanks. Deputy librarian Mr. R.Anandhan and library staff were make arrangements for the program.
 
 
 
 
 

Library Week Celebration (14.11.2019 to 20.11.2019)

Library Week was celebrated in Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College & Hospital (SMVMCH) on behalf of Department of Library on 14.11.2019 to 20.11.2019 November 2019. The function was celebrated in the library and prizes were distributed to the maximum library uses among Postgraduates and Undergraduates. Mr.K.Nandakumar(Undergraduate) and Dr.P.Poomathy (Postgraduate in Community Medicine) were given prizes.

The program was conducted under the guidance of our respected Mr.M.Dhanasekaran, Chairman and Managing Director, SMVMCH, Mr.S.Sugumaran, Vice Chairman, SMVMCH and Dr.K.Narayanaswamy, Secretary, SMVMCH.

Dr.D.Rajagovindan, Director, Dr.R.N.Kagne, Deputy Director, Dr.K.Karthikeyan, Dean (Academic), Dr.Amol Rambhau Dongre, Dean (Research), and Dr.M.Pragash, Medical Superintendent, participated and distributed prizes. The program was organized by Mr.N.Elangovan, Librarian and the Library Staffs.
