Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) has revolutionized the field of surgery by offering patients less invasive alternatives to traditional open surgeries. These techniques utilize small incisions, specialized instruments, and advanced imaging technologies to perform complex surgical procedures with reduced trauma to the body. While MIS offers numerous benefits, it is essential to understand both its basics and potential complications to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
She has thought us about the Basics of Minimally invasive surgery & given us a good knowledge of different types of incisions, port placement, how to handle the laproscopic equipment and its parts, different types of techniques used. And all the advantages, disadvantages, risks related to the procedures, Intraoperative and post operative complications. She has shared her valuable personel experience about the challenges related to MIS, which she had faced in her journey of life
MIS techniques encompass various procedures across multiple medical specialties, including laparoscopic surgery, robotic-assisted surgery, endoscopic procedures, and percutaneous interventions.
Minimally Invasive Surgery has become increasingly prevalent across various medical specialties due to its numerous advantages over traditional open surgery. However, like any surgical procedure, MIS is associated with potential complications that require careful consideration and management.
